AI agent
MCP Server + My People
Technical reference for My People MCP
One HTTP MCP endpoint powers every agent guide. OAuth connects your My People account; tools map to the same data you see in the app.
How to connect MCP Server
- Add the server URL to OAuth-capable clients: https://mypeople.lifenode.app/api/mcp
- Complete My People sign-in when the client opens the browser consent flow.
- Call tools/list after connect; mutating tools respect your account and require explicit approval for risky actions.
- For Contacts AI positioning and sync details, see the /contacts-ai marketing page.

Example prompts
- Explain the difference between enrich_contact and apply_contact_enrichment.
- Walk through OAuth setup for a custom MCP connector (not an app store listing).
Assistants should show contact diffs before update_contact or create_contact. Run enrich_contact for suggestions, then apply_contact_enrichment only for ids you approve.
Frequently asked questions
- Is My People preinstalled in ChatGPT or Claude?
- No. You add My People as a custom MCP connector and sign in with OAuth when the client opens the consent flow. We do not claim a preinstalled directory listing in ChatGPT or Claude.
- Will the agent change contacts without asking me?
- Assistants should confirm before delete_contact, apply_contact_enrichment, and other destructive or hard-to-reverse writes. Read tools like get_contact and get_daily_summary are safe for briefings.
- Is this a business CRM?
- No. My People is a personal relationship CRM for friends, family, and mentors—not lead scoring or sales pipelines. See /contacts-ai for how Contacts AI differs from corporate CRMs.
- Can agents sync Google or iPhone for me?
- Sync runs through My People on web or iPhone. MCP manages the rich relationship layer on top of contacts you already imported or synced.
- Where is the public MCP endpoint?
- The remote server URL is https://mypeople.lifenode.app/api/mcp. Connect it as a custom MCP connector in clients that support remote MCP—there is no official ChatGPT directory listing.
- Does MCP replace the iPhone app?
- No. MCP is for AI assistants. The iPhone app and web UI remain the primary way to browse contacts, sync Google/iPhone, and review enrichment suggestions.
